Writing a postcard to a favorite place in nature invites us to pause in our busy lives, remember our connection to the earth, and take action through expression.
We encourage you to compose your own message to the earth through any or all mediums: songs, dances, poems, drawings, a standard postcard or any other creative way. See the postcard collection for inspiration and then begin! All you need is a few simple materials and a message.
Add your postcard to our collection. Email maren@postcardstotheearth.com mail it to us, or email your digital postcard. More instructions

We collect postcards from around the country via community workshops, excursions, and individual projects.
Postcards to the Earth workshops are led by founder Maren Waldman, who guides participants of all ages, professions, study and skill in interactive artistic projects involving movement, crafts, reflection and postcard-writing excursions. Workshops are for schools, universities, after-school programs, and communities and are appropriate for groups of all ages, sizes, and abilities.
Postcards to the Earth is a series of projects with a shared goal of tending the connection between humans and our natural environment. The projects guide communities and individuals through interactive artistic processes to facilitate new relationships with the earth as home. We facilitate using movement, dance, crafts, reflection, and writing.
Postcards to the Earth currently includes workshops, an online forum, dance performances, a film, and an exhibit.
